Hoping our friends in DRC stay safe and this all ends soon. More on what is happening in Goma here.
This is an incredible video series from Enough Project featuring change-makers in Congo. I spent some time with Amani (Action Kivu) and Petna (Yolé Arts) in Goma and Bukavu this past September. They are doing amazing work and are a true inspiration. They see the beauty surrounding them in their country, even in the face of such chaos and darkness. They light the path forward.

Glad to see this being addressed. It is all very complicated but at least the conversation has begun, hopefully leading to some carefully constructed legislation that will improve the situation for the people of Eastern Congo.
Lyn Lusi, co-founder of Heal Africa, passed away on Saturday. I did not get to meet Lyn during my travels in DRC back in September but did have the opportunity to visit Heal Africa in Goma and witness firsthand all of the amazing work they do. Rory Holland wrote a beautiful tribute to Lyn Lusi here. And PBS Newshour wrote this piece about ‘Mama Lyn’ as she was know by those at Heal Africa. A great loss. She has left quite a legacy and was able to help countless people.

Wise words from Ugandan blogger Rosebell Kagumire. And another perspective here.
Coverage of the recent election and where things are at now in DRC.

I surely hope that this is true for the people of DR of Congo.

A vivid story and reminder of how malnutrition is such a major problem in DRC. Dr. Bird is doing amazing work with #MSF_USA.
